[Herald Economy = Reporter Bae Moon-sook] The "2018 Korea Energy Fair" ended successfully, allowing the public to experience energy-related innovative technologies and look into the sustainable growth of new energy industries at a glance.

The Korea Energy Agency announced on the 8th that the "2018 Korea Energy Exhibition", the largest energy exhibition in Korea, was successfully held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province from the 2nd to the 5th.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Energy Corporation, the "Korea Energy Exhibition" is the 38th of its kind this year, consisting of six halls, including ¢¹ Smart Energy Hall ¢¹ Renewable Energy Hall ¢¹ Eco-friendly Smart Car Hall ¢¹ Regional Expo Hall ¢¹ Public Energy Hall ¢¹ Public Participation Hall, and the largest number of 303 companies ever participated in the event with 1,050 booths.

This year, in addition to the support and marketing activities of small and medium-sized enterprises, which have been focused on, the energy competition has achieved great results in the industrial and public policy participation sectors by expanding the public participation program significantly. In addition, it is analyzed that Korea's energy competition has been upgraded to draw public sympathy and communication on energy policy beyond revitalizing transactions in the energy industry sector and supporting exports to small and medium-sized enterprises through this year's exhibition.

¢ºExport performance of KRW 54.2 billion for small and medium-sized energy enterprises= Korean small and medium-sized companies that participated in the export consultation have signed a total of 10 export contracts worth 54.22 billion won with companies from China, Malaysia and Japan. S Energy, a new and renewable energy company that develops solar modules and fuel cells, has signed a contract with Japan's RE Capital for designing, purchasing, and constructing a solar power generation business worth 15 billion won. SJ, a solar power company, has signed a contract with SJDM LCC of Mongolia to sell 1kW mobile solar systems and energy storage devices (ESSs) worth 25 billion won.

The export consultation meeting is operated as a "customized matching specialized service" that allows participating companies to find the buyers they want in advance. Several months before the exhibition is held, participating companies are investigated one by one to find the buyers they want, and accommodation, aviation, and interpretation services are provided.

In addition, a total of 12 companies, including Hanwha Q Cells' solar module, Core's Korea's thermal shield sheet, and E-Soltec mobile energy independence house, introduced new products and technologies at the new product presentation.

¢ºEnrichment of Citizen Participation Experience Events= The Public Participation Center was organized for the purpose of public understanding, public policy promotion, and experience in consideration of the public's higher public interest in the energy industry. NGOs, associations, and university student organizations set up special booths to introduce energy businesses and programs. It was decorated with proposals from a public participation meeting in May involving NGOs, associations, and university students, and ideas through an event called "Project for Programs I Want to See in the Energy War." More than 1,000 visitors participated in the program, including "Electric Vehicle VR Test Drive," "Autonomous Vehicle Simulation," and "Smart Mobility Test Drive," which drive through the exhibition hall in ultra-small electric vehicles wearing VR glasses.

In addition, "Solar Founder Education," a program on solar power generation business, participated as a lecturer at Hanwha Environmental Research Institute and Hanwha Q Cells, a company specializing in solar cells, to share prospects for solar power generation business and know-how in selecting locations. The comprehensive support center for renewable energy, which provides one-stop consulting, was attended by officials from comprehensive support centers for renewable energy in 11 regions of the Korea Energy Corporation and provided customized consulting on solar power generation projects. 183 consultations were held during the four-day exhibition period.

In particular, items from 10 social ventures, including ¢¹ data-based energy-saving AI platform 'Nine Watts' (Grand Prize) ¢¹ LED lamps operated by waste cooking oil 'Lumir Co., Ltd.' (Best Prize), which were awarded at the 'Energy Citizen Startup Competition' hosted by the Korea Energy Agency, attracted attention.

¢ºan energy engine/company job fair= ÁöThe "Energy Job Fair" held on the 3rd and 4th attracted more than 300 applicants for employment in the energy system. Six power generation companies, including East-West Power, and 15 major institutions and companies, including the Korea Energy Corporation and Hanwha Q Cells, participated in the "Energy Job Fair." The "Energy Job Fair" is an energy public institution

In addition, the "Job Talk Concert" held on the 3rd held an opportunity to directly hear and ask questions about the talent awards that companies want through vivid reviews of senior job seekers, best practices for jobs at the Korea Energy Corporation, and corporate PR time.

Yoon Jae-sung, a college student who participated in the job fair, said, "I dreamed of working in energy-related fields while majoring in environmental engineering, and I had a lot of questions," adding, "I had a lot of questions while consulting for employment at the job fair in Energy Daejeon and listening to the post-employment period at the job talk concert.".
