KCC is using its brand to help overcome "COVID-19." KCC Glass's interior brand, HomeCC, participated in the production of a "mobile non-face-to-face screening clinic.".
As the COVID-19 situation has been in a long-term war, the front-line medical field has changed. Several companies have worked together to establish a non-face-to-face screening clinic with container houses for more stable treatment facilities, replacing the place of the screening clinic that was operated as an existing tent. Mr. Home worked together to create a mobile non-face-to-face screening clinic developed in collaboration with E-Soltec, an energy-saving modular house maker, and "Smile," a construction company, to enhance the completeness of the facility by applying excellent materials.
The mobile non-face-to-face screening clinic, produced by HomeC, is designed to minimize the risk of secondary infection and reduce fatigue of medical staff by completely separating the medical staff space and the examinee's movements. The sample collection space and the waiting area for medical staff are completely separated, and complete non-face-to-face testing is possible by applying automated equipment to the entire process of testing from body temperature measurement to sample transportation. After all tests are completed, a system that automatically disinfects the house is also applied to ensure double safety.
Above all, the use of air conditioners in the screening clinic is free, and medical staff can safely conduct tests without the need to wear protective equipment such as level D protective clothing, N95 masks, and goggles, lowering fatigue and increasing efficiency in the examination work. It was possible to prevent medical staff from collapsing while working on the examination while wearing protective clothing in the heat and preventing the possibility of infection. In addition, the examinee's space is designed to prevent negative pressure and positive pressure from flowing into the medical staff's space so that air does not mix, and if the negative and positive pressure fail, a warning sound may sound to take immediate action.
Inside the clinic, hygiene utensils and faucets for washing hands were installed as HomeCC products, and HomeCC "Easy Panel" was applied as an internal finishing material. Finishing materials applied to non-face-to-face clinics require water resistance, sanitation, panel heat resistance, construction, and flexibility, and HomeCC interior materials were selected as suitable items.
HomeCC's easy panel is mainly applied to the interior of the bathroom in the house and is characterized by its hygienic and excellent construction. In particular, in the case of easy panels, "Hidden Molding", the only panel construction method of HomeCC, creates a clean space without mold. In general, panel finishes use a construction method in which molding, which is a subsidiary material that connects the panel, protrudes outward, but HomeCC's easy panel takes a hidden molding method that is invisible to the outside. Because panel boards are constructed by combining each other, the incidence of mold is low and the construction period is short.
The mobile non-face-to-face screening clinic with HomeCC interior materials was established and operated in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, in June. Gwangsan-gu is the first non-face-to-face screening clinic with an automated system in the country. It was procured and registered in a way that automation facilities and HomeCC materials were applied to passive container houses. Currently, it is being produced to deliver to Ulju Health Center, Changwon Health Center, and Busan Veterans Hospital in Gyeongsangnam-do, and continuous delivery consultations are being made from local governments across the country.
An official from KCC Glass said, "Hom had a part to share in the medical field as it created a space where his family could stay safe with excellent materials," adding, "We hope that the mobile non-face-to-face screening clinic to which Hom's products are applied will be of practical help to the medical field amid various social activities to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.".
