A small and medium-sized domestic company has developed a mobile automated screening clinic that can safely conduct COVID-19 screening in cooperation with companies and institutions. It is contributing to the safety management of medical staff who are struggling at the forefront of quarantine due to the prolonged COVID-19.
E-Soltec (CEO Song Joong-woon), an energy-saving modular house maker, announced on the 17th that it has developed a COVID-19 mobile automated screening clinic that combines materials and parts from 11 SMEs, including air circulator company Sendori, insulation producer Green Insulator, boiler and radiator manufacturer JP Industries, and delivered it to more than 20 medical institutions and government offices nationwide. The mobile automated screening clinic is completely separated from the sample collection space and the waiting area for medical staff. The risk of secondary infection was minimized by strictly separating the examinee's movements. By applying automated equipment to the entire inspection process from body temperature measurement to specimen transportation, thorough non-face-to-face testing is possible. After all tests are completed, a system that automatically disinfects the inside of the house and gloves is applied to ensure double safety.
¼öNegative pressure flows in the inspection space and positive pressure flows in the medical staff's space, so no air is mixed. It is designed to check even minor air leaks caused by breakdowns of negative and positive pressure devices and damage to the glove. Sanitary devices and faucets were also installed inside the clinic to wash hands.
Medical staff examination fatigue was lowered and efficiency was increased. There is no need to wear protective equipment such as level D protective clothing, N95 masks, and goggles. Screening clinic air conditioners can be used freely in winter and summer.
E-Soltec started developing a mobile automated screening clinic as it faced difficulties due to blocked sales of energy-saving modular houses in the aftermath of COVID-19. For rapid development, it worked with 11 specialized companies to procure materials and parts. It also received support from Gwangju Techno Park and R&D and experiments at the Korea Electronics Technology Research Institute. Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Health Center was verified by consulting professor of infection team at Chosun University Hospital and Chonnam National University Hospital. The company's automated screening clinic was evaluated by the government as a best practice for K-quarantine last year. It sent promotional materials to 250 public health centers and 800 hospitals nationwide and informed them through social networking services (SNS) and YouTube. It has been installed and operated at some 20 health centers nationwide. It is also negotiating with Uzbekistan for overseas export to Indonesia and Singapore.
CEO Song Jong-woon said, "Even in difficult conditions, we were able to see through the factors of the times and pioneer new markets with quick judgment and investment," adding, "We will focus our capabilities on the mobile smart ward market in the future to develop the K-quarantine system into a global export product.".
