CEO of E-Sotec Song Jong-woon explains a non-face-to-face screening clinic that can safely test for COVID-19 without protective equipment such as protective clothing.

In the face of the prolonged "COVID-19" crisis, there is a local small and medium-sized company that is showing extraordinary results by producing mobile non-face-to-face screening clinics based on the world's only specialized technology.

E-Soltec (CEO Song Jong-woon), located in Gwangju's high-tech district 2, created a non-face-to-face screening clinic last year and was recognized for its patented technology. It is the world's first technology.

Established in 2013, E-Soltec is a manufacturer of other structural metal products such as module houses, and is a promising small and medium-sized company in the region that produces prefabricated mini houses and containers for exhibition booths. In 2015, E-Soltec was selected as an excellent company (product) by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Public Procurement Service.

The non-face-to-face screening clinic, which E-Soltec has been producing since last year, is a new concept of quarantine facility designed to completely separate the space between suspected infections and inspectors and automate the process of collecting coronavirus samples to safely test without protective equipment such as protective clothing, masks, and goggles.

In particular, the space between medical staff and examinees is completely separated, so there is no risk of exposure to the virus, and non-face-to-face testing is possible with one-stop temperature measurement to sample transportation.

The examinee's space is designed to prevent negative pressure and positive pressure from flowing into the medical staff's space so that air does not mix, and after all tests are completed, the clinic is automatically cleaned and disinfected so that safe examinations can be conducted anytime, anywhere. Another advantage is that the use of air conditioners and heaters inside the screening clinic is free.

The product is currently being delivered and installed in 17 locations across the country including Gwangju Gwangsan-gu and KS hospitals. E-Soltec is also holding export consultations with Uzbekistan and Indonesia.

The non-face-to-face screening clinic is an innovative product that was newly produced by introducing its own air control technology while experiencing difficulties due to the global spread of COVID-19 early last year.

E-Soltec is a non-face-to-face screening clinic that generated a total of KRW 2 billion in sales from August last year to February this year.

The technology was based on the extraordinary technology and ideas of CEO Song Jong-woon, who majored in electronic communication at university and worked as a system engineer at Samsung Electronics and acquired various technologies.

Along with non-face-to-face screening clinics, E-Soltec plans to expand and distribute energy-saving self-contained houses around the world. The energy-saving self-contained house has been officially registered as a modular building by the New Zealand government and has secured a base for exports. The energy-saving house is a structure equipped with solar modules, heat collecting plates and energy storage (ESS) systems that can be manufactured in the size that customers want. E-Soltec has obtained certification by making efforts to meet New Zealand's building regulations standard, Multi-Prof. With this certification, E-Soltech can export finished products without going through New Zealand building approval and permission.

CEO Song said, "We have suffered from the suspension of exports due to the COVID-19 that has been going on since last year, but we have made extraordinary achievements such as increasing sales by producing and producing non-face-to-face screening clinics based on our own technology." "We will not stop here, but we will build an ecosystem that grows together with the region by fostering the foundation of an energy cluster that combines energy, IT, and architectural technology."
