(Cheonan = International News) Reporter Lee Won-cheol = Cheonan Hospital (Hospital Director Park Sang-heum) affiliated with Soonchunhyang University established a newly developed 'smart negative pressure screening clinic' in the hospital parking lot, and conducted clinical demonstration for usability evaluation for two days on the 25th and 26th.

Smart negative pressure screening clinic refers to mobile automated screening clinic needed for screening patients with respiratory infectious diseases such as COVID-19 virus.

Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital was developed jointly with the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency, Haewoo Technology Co., Ltd., and E-Soltec, and the result of the government's 'First Infectious Disease Quarantine Technology (Smart Sound Pressure System-Based Mobile Module Screening Clinic Quarantine Technology' project'.

Smart negative pressure screening clinics, which are container structures measuring 6.5 m wide, 3 m long and 2.95 m high, are equipped with an automated negative pressure system and are free to move. ¡ãSelective treatment ¡ãCollection ¡ãCollection of samples ¡ãCollection of samples ¡ãCollection of samples ¡ãprescription, etc. are all one-stop.

"It was designed based on data from more than 20 screening clinics nationwide," said Yoo Hae-dong, a professor (nuclear medicine department) at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, co-director of the research. "It is an automated facility that can manage samples in addition to safe screening treatment.".

In addition to Professor Yoo, Professor Park Jung-wan of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Professor Jeon Seop of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor Choi Sung-joon of the Department of Otolaryngology, and Professor Jeong Ki-jin of Orthopaedic Surgery participated in the clinical demonstration, and the stability and effectiveness were closely examined.

Professor Yoo Sang-dong said, "We conducted a demonstration on more than 100 people, including hospital faculty and patients," and added, "We will show a more complete system by supplementing the disappointments found in the evaluation.".
