E-Soltec (CEO Song Jong-woon), a company that manufactures energy-saving, self-sustaining modular buildings, announced on the 16th that it has signed a contract to supply $1 million worth of mobile, IT-based energy-saving multipurpose modular structures to Bodyfriend's U.S. subsidiary. The structures will be deployed in the U.S., which has been impacted by large fires and hurricanes.

E-Soltec has signed an export contract to supply its mobile multipurpose modular structures, integrated with Bodyfriend¡¯s robots, artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, and rehabilitation care services, to social and nursing facilities in the United States.

In response to recent disasters such as large wildfires and hurricanes in the U.S., E-Soltech IT-based energy-saving multipurpose modular structures, which won a CES 2025 Innovation Award, have garnered significant attention in the U.S. The company has continued negotiations with 11 companies from 11 countries, including meetings with two local U.S. governments, and plans to continue these discussions.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, E-Soltec developed a "walk-through diagnostic booth" that enabled contactless sample collection, which was supplied to modular ward and healthcare system companies to help prevent the spread of the virus and prepare for other epidemics and disasters. Additionally, the company developed and launched an "energy-saving container house" incorporating eco-friendly construction technology.

Unlike conventional products with uniform designs and temporary construction methods, such as wooden or container-based structures, E-Soltech has created an energy-saving panel system based on a sleek, cube-shaped design. It applies patented packing module components, which feature hundreds of interchangeable parts, ensuring the system is safe and can be quickly installed.

In particular, the structure features excellent energy performance and utilizes a connector system that allows for expansion to fit optimal space requirements. It can be securely fixed for use as a building for various purposes, while also enabling the easy and safe construction of mobile modular buildings. This energy-saving type of modular structure has received certification from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.

In 2023, E-Soltec added innovative products in the medical system sector and last year in the construction sector, making it the only company in South Korea recognized for innovation in both fields. The company received the Prime Minister¡¯s Award for its contributions to securing national intellectual property rights and commercialization, as well as winning the grand prize in the disaster industry competition. Additionally, it was selected as the winner of the Disaster Safety New Technology Contest by the city of Gwangju.

CEO Song Jong-woon said, "I truly realized the significance of the CES 2025 Innovation Award," and added, "We plan to leverage this achievement to promote the company, highlight the excellence of our products, and make every effort to boost both domestic and export sales."
