E-SOLTEC, a company specializing in multi-purpose modular buildings, announced on the 29th that its CEO, Song Jong-woon, received the Presidential Award at the 5th Procurement Day ceremony held at Exhibition Hall 1 of SETEC. The award recognizes the company’s contributions to solving social issues and supporting national industrial infrastructure by developing and commercializing innovative products aimed at strengthening national industrial competitiveness and creating new market opportunities in cutting-edge industries prioritized by the government.

Innovative products designated and managed by the government are those recognized for their technological excellence, public value, and potential for social contribution. Under this system, government agencies directly __select these products, and public institutions are allowed to prioritize their purchase and use.

E-SOLTEC developed the world’s first automated screening clinic in 2020 and further advanced the technology, becoming the first to register a medical-based automated screening clinic as an innovative procurement product at the end of 2022. In July last year, the company also developed and commercialized a rapidly deployable, multi-purpose modular structure through a research and development (R&D) project supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. E-SOLTEC is the only technology-based venture company in Korea to possess two officially registered innovative products.

The company operates its own corporate research institute, led by Director Lim Ga-young, and continuously develops new products, securing numerous intellectual property rights—including patents and certifications—both domestically and internationally.

From last year through this year, the company has been widely recognized both domestically and internationally for its outstanding products and technological capabilities. It received the Excellence Award for R&D addressing social issues from the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Grand Prize in R&D commercialization from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Additionally, it won the Innovation Award in the Human Security category at **CES 2025**, one of the world’s leading IT and consumer electronics exhibitions, and signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a U.S. local government for a smart city development project.

Recently, through the Public Procurement Service’s Innovative Product Pilot Purchase Program, E-SOLTEC secured national funding and is simultaneously conducting product demonstrations and deliveries both domestically and internationally. This includes projects with Osceola County in the United States, as well as Gwangju City, Gochang County in Jeollabuk-do, and the Incheon Port Authority in South Korea.

CEO Song Jong-woon stated, “Our products and technologies have recently been recognized for their excellence both domestically and internationally, leading to their selection as priority items in the military’s pilot procurement program for commercial goods. We are also receiving collaboration requests from__ domestic and global companies in the fields of disaster safety and eco-friendly construction.” He added, “We will continue to expand public market access for our innovative products and actively pursue entry into global markets. Through these efforts, we aim to help solve national challenges, foster emerging industries in Korea, collaborate with related companies, and enhance our global presence.”
